SeaQual

Predict tomorrow. Act now

Coastal water quality forecasts, days in advance

We use met-ocean data and process models to help desalination plants anticipate operational risk from turbidity events, algal blooms and other ocean risks.SeaQual produces 3–7 day location-specific risk forecasts, helping you stay ahead of the problem.

About Us

SeaQual was founded in 2026 in Cambridge, United Kingdom, with a mission to make desalination plants more efficient, resilient, and sustainable through predictive intelligence. Our founders recognised that while vast amounts of data are available, very little of it is being transformed into practical operational insights. SeaQual was created to bridge that gap by combining engineering expertise, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to help operators anticipate changes before they impact plant performance.Although we are a young company, SeaQual has already gained recognition within the global desalination community. In our first year, we received the European Desalination Society Innovation Award, recognising the potential of our technology to improve desalination operations and our piloting our technology with the worlds largest desalination plant operator. We are also a member of the 2026 Desal + Living Labs Accelerator programme, where we are working with the world's most energy efficient desalination plant at ITC.At SeaQual, we believe that the future of desalination lies in moving from reactive operations to proactive decision-making. By turning complex data into actionable insights, we aim to help water utilities reduce costs, improve reliability, and deliver freshwater more sustainably.
